  • Introduction

    This study examines the factors affecting work life balance among working women and the impact of poor-work life balance. An empirical study is conducted among the working women of educational sector which further evaluates the impact of work life balance on job satisfaction. The study observed that working women experience greater struggle than men in balancing personal and professional life. The study recommends that work life balance can be attained by forming inspiring societal groups, creating cooperative working conditions, introducing unbiased rewards and implementing worker-oriented policies.

    Aims and Scope:

    1. It was found that achieving professional targets and keeping up with personal goals is a complicated task for women employees.
    2. Marital status, age, experience, family support, motherhood responsibilities, self-management and dependency of family members are a few of many important factors that contribute at all different stages of life in making women employees successful on both domestic and professional fronts.
    3. The study is original and gives us a sneak peek of the obstacles and ordeal faced by the female employees in banking sector.
    4. The study observed that working women experience greater struggle than men in balancing personal and professional life. The study recommends that work life balance can be attained by forming inspiring societal groups, creating cooperative working conditions, introducing unbiased rewards and implementing worker-oriented policies.
